Welcome to our barangay where people helping each other and very caring,,In our barangay we have our own festival it is the BUBUYOG FESTIVAL we celebrate this in the whole month of May, We have a lot of activities during our festival.
We celebrate this through pantomina in tinampo, The celebration of our BUBUYOG FESTIVAL is at the same time as we celebrate our own patron Senior San Vicente Ferrer.As we celebrate our festival Some of the barrio men catches a honey bee to dance it also while doing the pantomina sa tinampo,,and some barrio men who's strong brought a true bee.When the month ends and the festival is going to end for the celebration we also have a ' karaunan sa dahon san saging'or boodle fight all people in our community are very hands on to the preparation of the 'karaunan sa dahon nin saging'to be successful.
HISTORY OF BUBUYOG
The name Abuyog was derive or named after the word "BUYOG" meaning bumble bee,sometime after world war II an american Soldier ask a child what was the name of a place but the american soldier misinterpreted it asking the name of an insect so the child replied "BUYOG"therefore since then the place was called ABUYOG.
